Arc of the United States, along with many co-sponsors, recently held
a large state-of-the art National Goals Conference, Keeping the Promises.
The Conference was held in Washington, D.C. from January 6-8th The purpose
of the conference was to identify the goals that this nation holds for
people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and carefully
review
the ways in which our national knowledge base and research activities
are contributing to monitoring and achieving success in those national
