The Arc of the United States, along with many co-sponsors, recently held a large state-of-the art National Goals Conference, Keeping the Promises. The Conference was held in Washington, D.C. from January 6-8th The purpose of the conference was to identify the goals that this nation holds for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and carefully review the ways in which our national knowledge base and research activities are contributing to monitoring and achieving success in those national goals.
Dr. Paul Wehman led the Employment Group and was joined by many distinguished and outstanding professionals and advocates. Dr. Wehman is the Director for the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Workplace Supports at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also the Principal Investigator for T-TAP.
